Being Humble

Humble people..
are not selfish (Philippians 2:3). They do “nothing out of selfish ambition” (Philippians 2:3 NIV). They aren’t self-centered.

do not “try to impress others” (Philippians 2:3). They do “nothing out of vain conceit” (Philippians 2:3 NIV). They don’t seek glory for themselves.

are always “thinking of others as better than [themselves]” (Philippians 2:3). They see the great value in others.

don’t “look out only for [their] own interests, but take an interest in others, too” (Philippians 2:4). They balance the needs of others with their own needs.

To be humble, we need to move away from “self” to “others” - pursuing lowliness (Philippians 2:3) and helpfulness (Philippians 2:4).

Bible commentator Warren Wiersbe succinctly summed it up: “The humble person is not one who thinks meanly of himself; he simply does not think of himself at all!”

Tough Times

There are a couple of things that I’ve learned recently. One is that no matter when and where, you should always trust God. Things can seem really, really bleak at times. Nothing in your mind is saying “it’s gonna work out,” but God has His ways. Seriously. There are far too many things to worry about and the problem that you’re facing is taking up too much space in your head. So chuck it out, because God wants it. He’s there to help you solve the problem! Leave it to him and trust that things will work out. I know it may sound simple, but I believe that’s the best way to handle our troubles.

Trust in God. All that there is and should be.

Unexpect the expected

One day,
a girl decided to challenge herself to win one soul to Christ,
so a name popped up in her mind! It's friend A.
It didn't seemed to be easy but easy at the same time as both just knew each other,
same course *skip*

Then friend B came to mind,
realizes her openness to Christ,
started praying, sharing, gave her a book, and invited her to church.

Yesterday was her first time attending my Church,
as surprising it is, she accepted Christ!!!
I almost wanted to give up on her but when I saw her posting up a bible verse once on twitter, I know I shouldn't give up so easily. And I really didn't expect to be so soon! Thank You Lord!

Oh yea, friend A, I won't give up hope on you but time will tell..

Life's Music

I need to play the notes You have written
I need to follow the score, as You planned.
You’re the Composer. You’re the Conductor.
And I - but a player in Your great Band.
Too many times I mess it all up, Lord.
Too often I play wrong notes, or off key!
Another master would have kicked me out,
But You, patiently, keep working on me!
Sometimes I hear wee snatches of music
That sound near perfect - as writ in Your Word.
So I practice more, pay close attention
To know, please, and praise You, my Precious Lord!

Trouble of Troubling

According to an online dictionary,
troubling or trouble means;
1. A state of distress, affliction, difficulty, or need: tried to console them in their trouble; got in trouble with the police.
2. A distressing or difficult circumstance or situation: I've had troubles ever since I took this job.
3. A cause or source of distress, disturbance, or difficulty: The new recruits were a trouble to him.
4. Effort, especially when inconvenient or bothersome: went to a lot of trouble to find this book.
5. A condition of pain, disease, or malfunction: heart trouble; car trouble.

I shall now concentrate on point 3 and 5.
I never liked to be in point 3 and 5 in my entire life!
For point 3, I never liked to trouble people around me and dislike relying on people so much.

Point 5, who loves getting themselves in trouble? No one! But you cannot stop things from happening in life.

On the other hand, throughout this process I have learn to appreciate what I have and to be content with everything that I have. When you are actually complaining so much about everything, have you ever think or realize that there are people out there who suffered more than you?

So the next time before you complain, Think again. I'm not saying that complaining is bad, we are humans, we all need to be heard.

Anyway, this movie has thought me so much, that I need not say much.
Why don't you watch it yourself? *smiles*

You can watch all the episodes on Youtube! *the wonders of internet*
This drama series has completely changed my perspective in life.

Thoughts

God just works in ways that you could have never imagined.
Sometimes or maybe most of the time, I wonder why He could just let things happen.
And I somehow got His message, maybe yes? Or maybe no.

It is just unfair sometimes.
But you still choose to trust Him no matter what happens.
Because our future is in His hands, and as stated in Jeremiah 29:11,
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Convinced?
Life isn't easy to live by, especially if you don't have anyone to lean or rely on.
For me? I'm glad that I have the opportunity to know Him and have Him as my heavenly Father.

My medicine,
His words never fail to strengthen me all the time.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73: 26
