Learning

The past few days and week has been pretty hectic..
And I've never felt so disappointed with myself before..
I'm so bad at Flash that the more I click the worst it became..
I couldn't save it but I did the best I can, still, the first unsatisfactory assignment I've ever done..

Aside from all the sadness, emo and disappointments..
What I have missed, is the point of all this mess!
The most important thing is the process of it all..
Learning..

Yes, though I did badly but I learned from it..
I didn't realized that I've learned and grown so much from this..
Thank You Lord for opening my eyes..

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
James 1:2-3

Comfort

Being taken out of your comfort zone is an opportunity to hear and see things that you normally would miss. When you get too comfortable in your surroundings and in your routine you can take things for granted and get lazy in your discernment. Set yourself to be watchful and pay attention so you won't miss the nuances. The spiritual benefits will far outweigh the discomfort of your present situation, says the Lord.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13

He's the sunlight

I used to worry my life away
Counting every cents
Shutting out the ones I loved
Never finding the time

And then one day I was overcome
By loneliness and despair
And deep inside I thought I heard
"Lean on me, I'm here"

HELLO!

"Hey! How are you? I am missing you! So do all of us here! Hope you are doing well, take care."

" Hey there! I'm doing pretty good I must say, and of course there are ups and downs. But I'm good. I miss you all as well! Really. Most and some of the things that I do, often reminded me of the things that we did together. Like the inside joke and our minds that think alike. Here, I'll just laugh to myself. Not to make myself sound so sad or anything, it's a good way of reminding me how each one of you have a very special place in my heart. I really do appreciate those who have taken the time to keep in touch through Whatsapp, Skype and Facebook messages. Though sometimes I may take awhile to reply, I'm so Sorry.

Just to share some of the events that happened recently. I volunteered myself in the school's heritage play and gotten the role as a dead soldier. Well, it was an experience getting to act with professional actors and actresses. Listening to their experiences broaden up my view as well. If you have been keeping up with my Twitter or Facebook status, I had make up on with beard and pale face. Not nice to be seen I think, so during the break I went off to my new friend found place, cuz where else can we go with the make up on our face. During the 2 hours at her place was a little bit tormenting. People were blasting rock music out loud, smoking, drinking and weeding. Gosh, I will never ever go to a stranger's home next time, at least get to know that person better. But no doubt they were actually great people, just the sin that puts me off.

Other than that, inspection week was last week. Boy I tell you, the kitchen was finally clean and clear. Sadly, after the inspection, everything was in a mess again. How I wish inspection was done in a weekly basis. Good for me but sad for them. Oh, I took out the rubbish the other day. I can tell you that British (not all but my flatmates) don't really know how to differentiate what can be recycled and what not. And, they have got lots of food waste. I can go really long regarding this but I shall pass.

Lastly, I've been trying to get myself involve in events like carols, sports, Christmas events, church camps and any events. Well some is confirmed and I don't know why I'm trying to make myself busy though I've got lots of assignments to be done. Guess it's just me. I miss HELP though. But I really do like it here as well. Free sports! And getting to try out new sports! I have my weekly routine of sports too! A really good way to release stress and meeting new people.

So I guess that's all. Really looking forward on reading your side as well. Take care! God bless *smiles*"

p/s: my wisdom tooth is finally growing out!

When we’re hurting, the most important thing we need is connection with others. As we learn to let them come close enough to see our pain and offer comfort, they can then help carry our burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Hmm

Curious, isn't it, that Jesus was most criticized by the religious and political establishment, and hardly criticized, at all, by the sinful population.

Normal sinners were drawn to Him, healed and counseled by Him, and delivered by Him. Lepers, demoniacs, adulteresses, tax collectors blind ones (physically or spiritually), aliens and every other disreputable and unacceptable type of person found welcome in His presence. They were not required to change in order to draw near to Him. Instead, He drew near to them, so they could change.

1 Timothy 1:5

The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.

Be Thankful

Assignments? Work? Exams? Issues? Problems?
We all know and somehow have experienced or have faced all these before, and not forgetting most are facing all the above. But one thing that we didn't see and realize, is to be Thankful.
How many get the chance to actually get into a university to study? To get an education in school? Get a work to make ends meet? But yet, we complain of waking up early in the morning for classes and work. Why don't we take all this frowns and stresses into a blessing in disguise? And be Thankful for what we have. A shelter above our head, food and drinks on our table and in our fridge. Money in our pockets. No matter what you're facing now, no matter how hard the situation is, remember you have people around you that cares for you and love you. So appreciate and be thankful for everything and everyone including yourself. Stop comparing and cherish your life to the fullest!

Call Him, Maybe?

Call Him, Maybe?

The wise men came wishing well
And with the star they could tell
Which direction to take
And how to find their way

They came bearing their gifts
Bowed down, worshiped and kissed
But being told in a dream
Went back a different way

The angels brought a warning
Herod’s men were coming
Hot night, wind was blowing
Flee to Egypt with the baby

The shepherds falling asleep
Deep in the night tending sheep
Till the angels appeared
Shining bright as day

Singing glory to God
They were totally awed
And agreeing with a nod
They went on their way

The heavenly hosts were praising
The good news they were singing
Joyous songs were ringing
In Bethlehem you’ll find the baby

Hey, gotta tell you
And this is crazy
Born in a manger
Came Jesus baby

It’s hard to know right
Just who He would be
The King and Saviour
Called Jesus baby

Hey I just met you
And this is crazy
But he’s my saviour
So call Him, maybe?

And all the other things
Try to chain me
But He’s my saviour
So call Him, maybe?

Before He came into my life
I messed up so bad
I messed up so bad
I messed up so, so bad

Before He came into my life
I messed up so bad
And you should know that

So call Him, maybe?

Hedgehog

Found out that Rushilan (Malaysian flatmate) is smoking, not sure if he pick it up here or he had already been smoking back in Malaysia. Sometimes seeing people smoke especially students, makes me sad. Especially without their parents knowing (of course right, who would). Just imagine their parents boasting and telling their relatives and friends that their kids are studying abroad, missing them, what course they're studying and then people start complementing you. But on the other side, look what you're doing. What if they found out? Sad isn't it. Well, you can't discriminate them, but to love them and hate their actions/sins.

Thursday
- sun start setting at 4pm, so by 5pm it is already dark
- I SAW A HEDGEHOG!! *my day is lifted up!* SO CUTE!! It sniffs like a dog! When I was approaching closer to snap a close up picture of it, I didn't realized that hedgehog was in its defense mode. No wonder it was so still. So when I put my camera away, I saw its spines standing up ready to poke me if I were to attack it *you can actually hear the spines standing up!*
- went to get my letters from the office *so cold!*
got my giffgaff number! more letters from the bank, and the funny thing is that I got a cheque book as well, and I don't even know how to use it *laughs*
- made an appointment with the Doctor tomorrow
- reading British politics for dummies

Friday
- adobe flash??? What's that??
- went to see the doctor/nurse and I Thank God for the good news, nothing's wrong with my toe, it is just an irritation from the new nail that was growing. So I'm good to go for sports! *happy!*
- got a free tshirt and hoodie from the points I've collected during active student sports
- It's Becky's 21st Birthday! (British flatmate) for the first time, the kitchen is SO CLEAN and decorated. We'll see the after party after place.
- back to journalism..
